SOUTHALL FOOTBALL CLUB ARE MOVING TO NEW GROUNDS NEXT SEASON AT HAYES & YEADING UTD
Southall Football Club are nearing the end to another season. It has been a good season with the new management Team of Paul Palmer, Matt Penfold and Max Howell who have rebuilt a new side over the season. Quarter Final of FA Vase, League Cup and currently a chance to finish in the Top 4 in the league has not been a bad season. We now need to look to next season and beyond on a business and community
We now need to look to next season and beyond on a business and community perspective, I am happy to announce that we will be moving to Hayes & Yeading United FC Stadium for the 2017-2018 season.
The stadium is on the border between Southall & Hayes and with the regeneration works taking place in Southall there will be a direct link straight to the stadium entrance from Southall. Seating of 1250 with standing capacity of few thousand more is ideal for Southall FC. Once the stadium is complete it will be on par with most league 2 stadiums if not some league 1 & championship stadiums.
We will train on the 3G pitch and groundshare on the main pitch. With a banqueting hall upstairs we will be able to hold fundraisers, dinners, events that the club will be looking to generate support and publicity in the community.
Working with Hayes & Yeading United FC, both clubs will be in some form for coming back “HOME” to play football in the local area. After 6 years at Hanwell Town, we are sad to be leaving. Bob Fisher and the board at Hanwell Town along with staff who have always made us feel welcome each season and looked after us. We are extremely grateful for all their support and guidance of the last 6 years. We wish them all the best with the team and all they are doing and hopefully in the future our paths cross on the pitch.
Now we look forward to a new challenge, new ground and with the ambition of the Southall Board and management to a future of promotions to get us up the league ladder.
Once again, a “BIG THANK YOU” to all the supporters for following us during the season. With us moving to Southall we hope to attract new supporters from the communities in and around Southall.
