The Southall Soccer School took place during the Easter break. Kids aged between 5-13 participated in the 2 day event at Three Bridges Primary School in Southall.
Managed by the Southall Sports Trust and supported by Southall FC, the Soccer School launched on 16th April and is the latest element of the Trusts objective to support and develop grassroots football in West London.
Children of all abilities aged between five and thirteen were welcome and the sessions were led by coaches who have been fully certified and supported by the Chelsea FC Foundation. Players were coached within a 2/3 year age band according to ability. Fun educational sessions were on offer to enhance natural development and improve skill and technique. Players also participated in small sided games and mini tournaments to encourage team play.
Chelsea FC Foundation were delighted to present a Soccer School in Southall to enable children living in and around Southall to learn to play football the Chelsea way in a safe, friendly and professional environment.
Chelsea already have the largest Foundation in the Premier League and are using their huge wealth of knowledge and experience to develop community-focused programmes.
